The 2nd pastorsʼ conference for we are looking forward to is coming near. We pray that this conference is a great experience for you. I believe we are going to have great fellowship, encouragement and lots of inspiration.
During our last conference in Austin on April 13-15, we agreed that we plan to hold our next conference in Fort Worth on November 9-11, 2008 so that we are able to attend one dayʼs sessions (on Nov. 10) of Annual BGCT convention (on Nov. 10-11) at Tarrant county conference center in Fort Worth. On November 10 there is one special ABC (American Born Chinese) ministry workshop (at 4:00-5:00pm) for us to attend. Pastor Coleman Chong, an experienced (ABC) pastor in Houston area, is going to lead the workshop.
After the workshop session we will leave for supper and then we continue our
Sessions in the Best Inn Hotel (see the attached file). We will continue our pastorsʼ meeting at the hotel until noontime of the 11th (see the attached file for our schedule).
We will leave for home after lunch.
Would you please let us know if you plan to attend this important conference and also let us know if you need to stay at the hotel (for the 9th and 10th ), so that we can make arrangement for you. Please contact me if you have further questions. I can be reached at 281-380-3758.

I requested the rooms at the convention center so we will see if we get them. If we do then I will meet with you on Tuesday morning. Remember that we will have a banquet on Monday night for everyone from intercultural churches so all the Chinese should be at that. Patty,
We will encourage all Chinese pastors to take part in the intercultural banguet.immediately after the (ABC ministry) workshop. I will try to give you a tentative head count after I get response from them.
Thanks for your help to get a meeting room for us. Our plan is to join BGCT Monday’s
activities and Tuesday we will just meet at the meeting room at the hotel we stay.
Since you find a meeting place for us to use in the morning time of the 10tth (Monday),
we may plan a Chinese pastors’ business session at 9:30-11:00am, when we can also
have your presentation and hear someone else from the BGCT.
Please let me know if this is workable for you.

BGCT Intercultural Ministries banquet 2008

Dear Pastor,
Greetings to you, your family and your church family. I pray you are doing well and enjoying God’s blessing and experiencing His Love. This has been a fast moving year full of God’s great accomplishments and for that we want to celebrate and give Him thanks. So let’s have a time of celebration at the Baptist General Convention of Texas annual meeting. This year it will be in Fort Worth, November 10-11, 2008.
Our theme is “Texas Our Texas”. We are hoping to see at least one messenger from each of our Intercultural Churches. Our Special event will be on Monday night. Our office will host an Intercultural Celebration Banquet on Monday night, November 10, 2008.
This will be open to all our Intercultural Churches and the messengers they bring. We have limited space, so we need to know how many are coming. The dinner will be at 5:00 at the Convention Center. We will have a short program to celebrate the accomplishments of this year and your support of the Cooperative Program. Please come.

達福地區華人浸信會2008年（Labor Day）聯合退修會
日期：2008/8/31（主日） 時間：6:00 PM

主席：劉再生牧師（榮耀華人浸信會）
出席：余耀發弟兄、Pastor David Sanchez（福和市華人浸信會）、傅寶華牧師（向榮華人浸信會）、章加恩牧師、袁石傳道（布蘭諾華人浸信會）、Bro. Jay Yu（懷恩華人浸信會）、王保羅牧師、寧思唐牧師、高方中姊妹、趙燕姊妹、廬健健姊妹（佳樂頓華人教會）
報告：感謝主，本次退修會因有非常好的行政團隊¾¾佳樂頓華人浸信會的事奉，使整個營會進行得非常美好，眾弟兄姊妹都有同感，謹此向CCC致謝。為期節約會議時間，今天僅作營會缺失作討論，如在本次營會可改進的，改進之；若有建言，可留供下屆退修會參考。
討論與決議：
1. 大會經費：
‧ 本次退修會總計有265人參加。各教會應負擔及參加弟兄姊妹應繳付之金額，請及時交給CCC司庫趙燕姊妹。
‧ 對於各教會會牧在營會膳宿保險等實際需要由大會支應之原則，再作確認：1) 目的在對各教會會牧的尊重與禮遇。為什麼要對會牧禮遇？因為他們是神話語的傳講者及神使命所託付的人。對會牧伉儷的禮遇，其目的是為了透過這種禮遇，更好地讓神的話語及教導進入弟兄姊妹的心。
2) 教會無會牧，則供應代理會牧（代理會牧由教會書面認定）；但若會牧或代理會牧因故不參加營會，大會則不對教會提供此禮遇。
3) 各教會其他教牧同工若為大會事工負責同工，或擔任講員（如專題講員或英語部負責同工），亦由大會供應之。
4) 以上之供應僅及於伉儷，家屬所需，籲請各教會自行提供。
‧ 對於延後報名者的「罰金」，基於原決議的本意與精神，目的是鼓勵各教會儘早辦理報名，以便行政同工作業，而不是「處罰」遲報者（有的是因為假期難確定，有的是福音朋友猶豫不決……等），故決議不收取。至於如何制定一套「鼓勵方案」有待日後在實際運作中完善。其目的是建立積極向上趕早、認真負責及時的生命。
‧ 外請講員、同工謝金及交通費的請款，請儘早於明（週一）晨交給趙燕姊妹。
2. 宿舍：
‧ 住宿Yukon Cabin人員，請在週一上午9:00遷出，俾便同工進行清潔工作。
‧ 住宿Motel人員，請在週一中午用餐時收繳鑰匙（各教會集中收齊），check out。
‧ 若營地Motel數不敷需求，爾後請行政單位預先在附近Motel預訂若干房間，議妥合適價格，提供與會者選擇，避免臨時訂房價格較高。
3. 達拉斯第一華人浸信會湯傳哲牧師已口頭表示明年將參加第14屆達福地區華人浸信會聯合退修會，仍請劉牧師代表本籌備會正式邀請之。
4. 明年（2009）退修會講員已邀請林永健牧師，並獲首肯確定。應達拉斯第一華人浸信會湯傳哲牧師建議：
1) 林永健牧師Pastor Brian Lam of Fort Bend Community Church, Missouri City, Texas，
2) 莊祖鯤牧師，
3) 黃小石長老，
及向榮教會建議4) 張伯笠牧師。
5. 明年退修會營地建議案（按照前後次序）：
A. 繼續租用Falls Creek Conference Center：查看鄰近Motel Room數。Private Room¾¾鄰近三間Motel共有65間房可租用（參附錄二），Falls Creek原有53間。另據悉，Falls Creek will build some new lodge that can hold 6 people per room。Dorm¾¾租用兩棟Dorm，一供青少年，一供成年人。（可避免吵鬧干擾）
B. 詢問Waco附近的湖景營（Lake View）。（2009年Labor Day已被預訂）
C. 租用一間大酒店或鄰近的數間Motel舉辦退修會，以敷Private Room的需要。
6. 改選明年（2009）第14屆籌備會召集人及行政教會：（日期：Sep. 5-7, 2009 Labor Day）
‧ 基於每人每次擔任兩屆之原則，明年籌備會召集人由榮耀華人浸信會劉再生牧師連任；行政教會由佳樂頓華人教會王保羅牧師連任。

九月一日針對營會特殊情況之補議及處理：
‧ 對於營地伙房的辛勞，贈與$300.00以聊表謝悃。（補議）
‧ 餐廳陳售的鋁罐飲料，每罐1.00，但取用者均未投入現金，為不致造成營地餐廳虧損，由大會經費支應之。但建議爾後餐廳必須放置投幣箱，認真執行。（補議）
‧ 幼兒照顧同工Mrs. Wile週六晚突感不適，在Dorm無法入睡而外宿Motel，所需房租由大會補助。（補議）
